According to CNN, speculators say 2013 is set to be a noisy season for roller coasters. Some of the scariest have already opened. With hundreds of millions of people worldwide each year on roller coasters, the safety of amusement rides and devices is of the essence.
To address these issues, ISO technical committee ISO/TC 254, Safety of amusement rides and amusement devices, is developing standards on :
• Biomechanical effects on amusement ride passengers
• Design and manufacture of amusement rides
