Who needs this course?
•    all company members who wish to undertake internal audit of the company’s occupational health & safety management system
•    persons responsible for carrying out internal quality audits in accordance with ISO 18001 occupational health & safety management system requirements

Course objectives
•    Understand the basic concepts and principles of health & safety
•    Understand the benefits of implementing ISO 45001 and key health & safety issues
•    Understand the requirements of ISO 45001 specification
•    Understand the principles and practices of auditing
•    Plan and prepare an audit against a set of audit criteria
•    Perform an effective audit of a company’s environmental management system and lead a team of auditors
•    Create clear, concise and relevant audit reports by identifying the strength and weaknesses of an  ISO
•    Assess a company’s occupational health & safety management system and determine whether or not it meets the requirement of ISO 45001
•    A clear understanding of the importance of monitoring the occupational health & safety management system and informing the management and staff of its effectiveness
•    Understand the importance of audit as an effective system monitoring methodology and how it can be used as a overall management tool

Course Content:
The course is structured in such a way, through tutorials, discussions, exercises, case study and workshops, to involve all participants and ensure a profound understanding of ISO 45001 auditing requirements. More analytically:
•    Occupational Health & Safety System: An introduction and explanation of Health & Safety, Risk Assessment and the requirements of ISO 45001
•    Auditing: An explanation of audit, types of audits, their purpose and planning, the way in which an effective audit is carried out and reported on
•    Auditors: Their responsibilities, the required personal attributes, and auditor selection
•    Auditing Tools: The various tools and techniques to assist the auditors
•    The course is designed according to the requirements of ISO 19011 “Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems”

Prerequisites:
Participants should:
•    Secondary education
•    prior knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 45001 Course duration
